A police chase in Brighton Wednesday night ends with a woman dead and her grandson injured. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, Midfield police had been chasing a suspect earlier, but the chase had been called off prior to the fatal crash that happened around 5pm at the intersection of Huntsville Avenue and 47^th street.

Police say the suspect, driving a black sedan, ran a stop sign and crashed into a red truck, flipping it over. The suspect is said to have three outstanding warrants against him.

No word on the identities of the suspects not the victims.
