Mary J. Blige will be honored at the 2019 BET Awards for the Lifetime Achievement Award, BET Networks announced on Wednesday. The award will be presented during the 19th annual ceremony on June 23rd, which will air live in Los Angeles, California.
The Queen of Hip-Hop has eight multi-platinum albums, nine Grammy Awards, two Golden Globe nominations, and a SAG nod under her career. She also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She also made Academy Awards history as the first double nominee for Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Song for the film Mudbound.
Hosted by actress, Regina Hall, the BET Awards will feature performances by Cardi B, Migos, DJ Khaled, Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, H.E.R., City Girls, and more. Presenters include Taraji P. Henson, Morris Chestnut, and Marsai Martin.
