Bruce Korf, M.D, Ph.D., UAB Chief Genomics Officer

 

Dr. Korf is the co-principal investigator for the Southern All of Us Network. He is also the co-chair for the Omics Committee for the All of Us Research Program. Dr. Korf is a medical geneticist, pediatrician, and child neurologist. He is a physician, an educator and researcher – involved in all aspects of genetics and genomic medicine. Dr. Korf has been the driving force in establishing genomic medicine at UAB. Genomics is an essential aspect of the All of Us Research program. Cora Beth Lewis, M.D., chair of the Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health

 

Dr. Lewis is the co-principal investigator for the Southern All of Us Network. She has international standing in the field of epidemiology and clinical research. Her research interests include a focus on the epidemiology of chronic diseases. As an internist and epidemiologist, she has considerable experience in designing and leading long-term epidemiologic studies and clinical trials. Dr. Lewis can speak to how the All of Us Research Program can make a positive difference in the future of health care and what makes this program different from other research programs, cohorts, or biobanks.
